2010 has been an amazing year for Nutwork.

Despite being only our second year of existence (under the Nutwork banner that is), we have now clearly established ourselves as one of the premier web companies in WA. We're immensely proud of this. During the year, we moved from a drab Subiaco office to our great modern open plan studio in Claremont. Our clients have told us they love the casual atmosphere and our high tech gadgets!

In 2010 we delivered almost 100 websites and generated millions of page views via our specialist SEO and online marketing services. You don't need to be a web technician to realise that quantity of page views generates some serious sales numbers for our clients.

Something we're particularly proud of is that we have been selected by several large industry associations to be the trusted web company of choice for their members. Tourism Council WA (TCWA), Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), Engineering and Automotive Training Council (EATC) and the Small Bar Association (SBA) are all happy customers of ours.

Our year, however, would not have been such a success without the help, trust and loyalty of our great clients, business partners and friends. We'd like to thank you all and wish you a brilliant Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you all again in 2011.

Please note that we’re closing over XMAS but our studio will re-open on January 10th 2011.

Minimise use of external links (if appropriate)

Creating a link to another website from your own website is simple and effective in giving your readers more information about a particular topic.  However, you are also creating an exit point from your website, and this probably is not what you want.  Use external links sparingly and if you do use them, make sure they open the website in a new window.  This keeps the reader on your website.

Don't employ "tricks"

Embedding polls, competitions or attention grabbing headlines may seem like a good way to keep people on your website.  However, unless there is any value in this for your readers, don't do it.  People quickly learn what you are up to and even if you get them to your website once, the chances are they will not come back.  It's important to create a good first impression, so create a website that informs, sells and/or entertains in the best possible way for the reader.  The result of this will be good quality traffic and loyal readers.

Web Design Brief

The site has a strong simple design using the blue from the logo. This is framed by grey, which is a good neutral colour that works well for the subsections which introduce different colours.

The links down the right hand side emphasise the importance of the product images and videos.  A video playlist has been added from YouTube.
