Geek Speak – do you love technology like we do?

geek speak - LocoTV Are you a closet geek? Let’s face it, we all are a little bit these days so why isn’t there a great tech show to help you sort through new technology that’s here today to make your life better?

Well, thanks to iiNet and Nutwork’s sister company LocoTV, now there is!

iiNet is a new IPTV provider and their first home grown series is called Geek Speak. It’s going to be about all those pieces of technology that are turning up each day and how to use them to your advantage.

Nutwork are on the move

Nutwork have slowly outgrown their offices in Subiaco and are now moving to Claremont.

The new office is bigger, better and more modern than our current surroundings. Apparently there are loads of great coffee shops there too.

The move begins on the 31st May, so please come by and visit. We’ll take you for coffee and chat about your vision for your new website, plan your new marketing strategy, or simply catch up.

SEO: How to optimise your website â€“ Tip #7

Another great tip for optimising your website is to put your keywords in bold.

This helps your readers by highlighting the most important keywords on your website. More importantly, however, Google and other search engines put a slighly heavier weight on bolded text.

Therefore, the term “website optimisation for search engines” will not score as highly as “website optimisation for search engines“.

Bonus SEO Tip: you can also put your keywords in italics to give them a small SEO boost aswell.

How to combat Facebook website hackers

Facebook now has the ability to email or text you when someone tries to access your profile page from an unknown computer.

If you get this email/text you can quickly log in and change your password before the hacker does any damage.

This assumes the hacker has not changed your password already! Good work by Facebook for this innovation but we are not sure it will work very well.
