About Cummins Theatre
Cummins Theatre is a heritage-listed theatre located in the Wheatbelt town of Merredin, approximately 257kms east of Perth. The Theatre has been a proud fixture in Merredin’s cultural programming since it was relocated to the town from Coolgardie in 1927. Originally a picture Theatre, Cummins Theatre was one of the first venues to show “talking” pictures in the Commonwealth, and for many years was considered state of the art in its field.
