iPhone 3G Hits Stores

The long awaited new iPhone hits stores tomorrow morning with the Perth City Vodafone stores holding iPhone parties from 6am. Those willing can camp out over night and sign their life away first thing tomorrow morning on a long and expensive contract with Vodafone. The new iPhone smartphone has faster Web links than the first iPhone, supports third-party software like games and is being heavily subsidised by many phone carriers, with some even giving it away to attract new subscribers. Around 270,000 people bought the first iPhone within 48 hours of it launching back in 2007. Apple is expecting to sell 10 million of the devices around the globe this year alone. The new device comes with fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. It combines three products in one - a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser.
