geek speak - LocoTV Are you a closet geek? Let’s face it, we all are a little bit these days so why isn’t there a great tech show to help you sort through new technology that’s here today to make your life better?

Well, thanks to iiNet and Nutwork’s sister company LocoTV, now there is!

iiNet is a new IPTV provider and their first home grown series is called Geek Speak. It’s going to be about all those pieces of technology that are turning up each day and how to use them to your advantage.

As more and more TV content moves online and viewers can take control of their content, we came across a great article on The Australian this morning, discussing the trend of content being pushed online instead of pushed via free to air.

When the governments planned National Broadband Network (NBN) is completed, your IP based services will feature a large range of products. The report said specifically that “a whole raft of services is envisaged to be delivered over the network, stretching from areas as diverse as power meter monitoring and burglar alarms, through to remote healthcare and education delivered by high-definition video conferencing”.

We’ve already started of course – with our LocoTV website – where you can watch TV shows on-demand and on your own terms.

Nutwork Web Design have launched West Moore Island’s brand new website based on a the very easy to use Drupal CMS.

A little about West Moore Island:

West Moore Island Lodge is part of Kel Brown’s Westralian Marine Group and was borne out of Kel’s vision and love of this unique and unspoilt environment. Previously operating as a South Sea pearl farm, the low impact development on the island has been transformed into a small and exclusive fishing and eco-tourism facility.

The site incorporates an online booking system, flash banner, photo gallery and of course, a beautiful custom design crafted by our designers. The site is a great example of a professional, and yet still very affordable, beautiful looking site that takes care of business and is a pleasure to use.

As well as producing a brand new website, we also produced a TV series which is available on LocoTV.com.au. As one of Nutwork’s sister companies, LocoTV produced a very high quality and affordable video series of the Island and it’s featured on the home page of the Island’s site as well.

LocoTV.com.au – Perth’s First On-line & On-Demand Television

We’re very proud to announce the launch of LocoTV.com.au – Perth’s first on-line and on-demand Tv station.

This means that you can watch the shows you want to watch, any time you want to watch them. The vast amount of our content is free to stream to your PC, TV or web enabled device. For instructions, check the How Do I Use It section. You will also be able to download our shows to your 3G phone, iPod or iPhone for a small charge (coming soon).

There are many places on the Internet that you can download and watch TV shows, but not like these. We film, produce and broadcast our own shows on a variety of different subjects and styles.

In fact, we also offer true community television where any individual or company can have us produce their own TV series or channel. Even though we’re based in Western Australia, we can broadcast anywhere in the world and for anyone in the world.

Although we've launched with 5 different series, we have over 20 more in production and episodes will be added regularly. The cover everything from comedy to food and even dramas.
