Firefox has just been identified as the most secure and safe browser available. This is great news, considering Mozilla’s recent and long awaited release of Firefox version 3.
A study was carried out to: “Understand the Web browser threat: Examination of vulnerable online Web browser populations and the insecurity iceberg” – quite a mouthful. In essense this simply means they tested the browsers not only from a technical security point of view, but how intuitive they were to use in a safe and friendly way.
There’s no point having the most secure browser in the world if it’s easy to get lured into a fake phishing website and you enter your bank details into a fake bank login form.
The new generation of browsers include phishing filters and other tools to help users protect themselves, and Firefox has come up on top of them all.
