Fini Olives Website Launches in Perth

About Fini Olives

Tony Fini grew up in rural Abruzzo, Italy, where growing your own olive trees and making your own olive oil was a part of daily life. When he immigrated to Australia in 1951, he applied the work ethic and passion for quality he had learnt in his family’s olive grove, to the building industry.

From humble origins as a labourer, he built up the highly respected building and investment company The Fini Group. In 2000, the sale of the company allowed him to return to his true passion in life, working the land.

Tony has recreated the olive groves of his childhood in Western Australia’s Moore River region, 128 km’s north of Perth. Its Mediterranean climate mirrors that of Abruzzo, with cool wet winters and hot summers. Tony’s 1200-acre grove is home to 11 varieties of olives and over 170,000 trees. He has invested heavily in a state-of-art processing plant to ensure he can produce extra virgin olive oil exactly the way his mamma did – pressing the olives within 24 hours of picking to ensure maximum flavour and freshness.

The site has all of these features:

  • Content Management System (CMS)
  • Custom Graphic Design
  • Search Engine Optimisation

Perth iPhone App of the Week: Wikipedia

What They Say
“Wikipedia is now officially on the iPhone! This is our official application and we are working hard on making the absolute best Wikipedia app out there.

This app is focused on being very simple and very fast. Over time, we’ll add features based on requests.

The code is 100% open source and community built. If you are a programmer and good at JS/HTML5, then come and help us out!”

What We Say
Think of it as the world at your fingertips. All of the content of Wikipedia, the user-created encyclopedia, nicely organized and made accessible in an app. Perhaps the coolest feature of the app, however, is the location option, which lets you instantly learn about anything (or everything) that happens to surround you at the moment. Curious about that odd building across the street? Or that bizarre statue in the park? Just fire up the app.

Highly recommended!

Confused about choosing a Web Designer or Web Development Company?

Choosing your Website Designer shouldn't have to be confusing!

Choosing your Website Designer shouldn't have to be confusing!

Choosing your web designer can be a tricky process.  Everyone seems to offer the same thing, but an entirely different thing at the same time.  The web design industry is full of jargon and TLA’s (Three Letter Acronyms!).  There are freelancers, small/medium/large operations.  Even your Grannys cat said that he would build you one for $100.

To demystify the process, or at least get you going in the right direction, here are some questions you should ask your web designer:

  1. Do you custom design websites that are professional and unique? YES
  2. Do I get a content management system so I can upload text and images myself? YES
  3. Will you provide training in how to use the content management system? YES
  4. Is your content management system genuinely easy to use?  YES
  5. Do you restrict the number of pages I can add to my website? NO
  6. Do you have a free iPhone/Android app so I can update my website when I’m on the train in the morning? YES
  7. Will you submit my site to all the major search engines? YES
  8. Do you have Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) built into the website as standard? YES
  9. Do you have a blogging system so I can add new content, like news and events, to my website every day? YES
  10. Is your platform scalable so when my business expands my website can grow with it? YES
  11. Can you get my site on to page 1 of Google? YES
  12. Do I (the client) own the copyright on my website? YES
  13. Can you do all of my print work such as business cards and brochures? YES
  14. Can you help me market my business effectively online? YES
  15. Can you develop an iPhone App for me? YES
  16. Can you provide video production services? YES
  17. Apart from hosting are there any ongoing or hidden fees? NO

If any web designer or web development company has different answers to the above, then you should definitely consider Nutwork as your digital media agency.
